I wanted to build a Modern and apply a simplistic design approach that would make it sleek and attractive.
I built each one of these butter boxes myself out of a solid piece of American Walnut. Each box and lid have matching grain between the box and lid (built from the same piece of wood).
The knife design allows for a tip that will reach the sides and corners of the box, all the while enable plenty of butter to be picked up in a swipe and a large enough face to easily spread it out on your bread.
